A long journey of healing, day after day....
We address and prevent specific problems faced by families by providing parents, guardians, caregivers, children, and youth with traditional Indigenous mentoring programs, workshops, services, supports, knowledge, and access to ceremony in a welcoming environment in the areas of: pregnancy; birth; child-rearing; coming of age; four dimensions of traditional wellness; becoming a parent, auntie, uncle, or grandparent; bereavement; and journey back to Creator.
Our approach is rooted in holistic Indigenous values, fostering cultural sensitivity, community empowerment, and intergenerational support. We recognize the importance of traditional ceremonies in promoting holistic wellness and ensure they are child and infant-friendly, creating inclusive spaces for all family members. Additionally, our programs address underlying physical and mental health conditions, providing tailored support to promote healing and resilience within the community. We offer ceremonies that are inclusive for infants, children and those with health needs.
We offer:
*Access to ceremonies with minimal tobacco exposure
*Introduction to ceremonies for children and infants in a clean air environment.
*Shortened time span ceremonies to start little ones at a beginner level and to also help those with anxiety, ADHD and FASD who may have difficulty sitting for periods of time.
*Ceremonies with sensory support and care
*Indigenous Auntie Support
*Indigenous Parent Classes with trauma informed care information for Foster Parents and Kinship Parents of Indigenous children
*Diabetic friendly feast foods and feasts
*Trauma Informed teaching that includes and understanding of learning how trauma manifests in ourselves and how do we help others when they are going through trauma; how do we recognize it in ourselves and others?
