The fundamental goal of this class is to guide non-Indigenous parents, Indigenous parents with little to no Indigenous background in facilitating their Indigenous child's reconnection with the Indigenous community. Our curriculum centers on navigating the intricacies of Indigenous laws and governmental regulations, equipping parents with the knowledge of how to engage with and reach out to Indigenous communities effectively. We emphasize fostering a nurturing environment that honors the child's heritage and cultural identity, ultimately aiming to cultivate a sense of belonging and mutual understanding. Through this class, parents will gain valuable insights into the significance of Indigenous community reintegration and its profound impact on the child's holistic development. Learners will gain foundational knowledge about how Indigenous children are raised in traditional families and communities. These classes have a maximum of 30 people per class.
